When we set out to film a documentary about the late Burt Young, we wanted to do more than just tell his story, we wanted to feel it. We spent a full day inside his home, surrounded by his memories, his artwork, and his unmistakable presence. The goal was to capture the raw, unfiltered essence of the man behind the legendary performances.
 

From his early life in New York through his rich acting career, most famously as Paulie in Rocky, Burt opened up about his journey with honesty and humor. But what truly surprised us was his passion for painting. Between conversations about film and family, he revealed a lifelong love for abstract art, expressive, emotional, and deeply personal.
 

We shot, directed, edited, and color-graded the entire piece, crafting it with an intimate, cinematic tone that reflected the warmth and complexity of Burt himself. The result was a deeply human portrait, one that resonated far beyond expectations.
